A long time ago, there was a galaxy far, far away, with lots and lots of planets. The Star Wars franchise had desert planets, swamp planets, ice planets, city planets, forest planets, and all of our favourite protagonists and antagonists hailed from a variety of weird and wonderful far-flung planets scattered across the solar system.

Obi Wan Kenobi
Jedi Master Obi Wan Kenobi was born on a terrestrial planet located in the Stewjon system. His stay on Stewjon was brief; Obi Wan was six months old when he was taken to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant to be trained as a Jedi.
Naboo is populated by a mix of humans and an amphibious race known as Gungans, and most notably is the birthplace of Darth Vader’s bae and future mother of Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa, Padme Amidala.
Chewie, Han Solo’s right-hand man, hails from the forest planet and home of the Wookiees, Kashyyyk.
A planet of forests and mountains; Alderaan is the home planet of Princess Leia and the House of Organa. Alderaan was destroyed in a demonstration of power by the first Death Star as punishment for involvement in the Rebel Alliance. Alas, poor Alderaan. We hardly knew ye.
It is uncertain where Jedi-in-training and certified badass Rey was born, but her trash parents traded her for drinking money and abandoned her on a dump of a desert planet called Jakku.
Tatooine has the distinction of being the most-visited planet in the Star Wars movies, but most importantly is home to Luke Skywalker, and his Father.
Jabba the Hutt
Nal Hutta is the home planet of repugnant gangster and crime lord, Jabba Desilijic Tiure, and other Hutts. In the immortal words of Jabba, “Peecha chakka no wookiee boonowa tweepi solo? Ho ho ho ho hoooo.”
Han Solo was born on the industrial planet Corellia. Han came up running scams on the streets of Corellia while training to be the best pilot the galaxy has ever seen.
Savage teddy bear species, the Ewoks inhabit Endor, the Forest moon that the second Death Star orbits.
Darth Maul, stuff of nightmares and apprentice to Darth Sideous, was born on the Nightsister witchcraft society dominated planet of Dathomir.
Commander in the Resistance’s Starfighter Corps and BB-8’s dad, Poe Dameron, calls Yavin 4 his homeworld.
Intergalactic man of mystery, template for the clone army and legendary bounty hunter Jango Fett was born on Concord Dawn.
A mystery where Yoda was born it is. George Lucas actively set out to keep Yoda’s backstory unknown to develop intrigue around the character.
